that guy didn't look like he was doing very well in the video. he wasn't turning like he should be, he missed the door, which was wide open......

I doubt it'll be even as good as a keyboard.
I thought that myself but the guy was at a convention, was new to it. Review I have in PC Format said at first people try to hard at first, concentrate to hard, pull funny faces while playing, but after a few games the reviewer found it so easy hardly had to try at all, just come natural. Also said he found it extremely accurate to the point he was picking people off with sniper with ease.

I would love to try this see how well it works since I can still see that your reaction time would be faster. However, I am still waiting for the SQUID (Superconducting QUantum Interference Device) version. There are a few operating brain scan devices using SQUIDs but they are large machines because of the liquid helium used to cool them. However, SQUIDs are sensitive enough to pick up individual neurons firing which would make it a true neural controller. Of course before that could come out we'd need room temperature superconductors but the concept has been shown to work in these liquid helium cooled brain scan setups.

I'm still wondering how you would aim with this thing. It would either be very hard to do so, or border on being an aim bot.

I do know for sure that they are using this kind of technology with quadriplegics, and yes, it is sensing facial muscle motion, not synapse activity.
Synapse detection/interaction would be where it's at though- The ultimate sensitivity to what our thoughts are, not responding to facial reactions.
