I want to dual boot my Vista with Ubuntu so I can fold faster overnight and try to learn a little about Linux. I went to the Ubuntu site, downloaded the desktop 64-bit edition (7.10), burnt it, booted to it and selected "Start or Install Ubuntu". It loads the kernel, then goes black, it says kernel alive and under that it says kernel mapping or something with some big numbers, then my computer reboots. I knew I'd have problems with this...but not 5 seconds into the installation Anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks!
