I think a better thing to say to be honest would be " If you pirate your a theif". To me lots more people would understand the point and the word communist is as outdated as the word ******. It's just a mindless insult that no one wants to hear anymore.
Communism (little c) is the idea of no government and everyone shares and work together. Thus there would be no piracy because everyone would have equal right to the music.
Intellectual Property isn't exactly free market either, because free market allows you to copy something as long as you do not copy for profit.
Intellectual Property is more of result of the RIAA lobbying government.
