or unlink ram
It is unlinked. That's how I was able to "manually" set my memory to stock. That's how I'm also able to reach 3.9GHz with the memory still sitting at 800MHz.

I tried all of the suggestions and nothing's working. I'm starting to see the possibility that this batch doesn't want to go over 3.9GHz on this mobo.

But I don't plan on keeping this mobo anyway. Actually, I'm looking to buy this mobo in a couple of months:

ASUS Rampage Formula.

Did I forget to mention it's vdroop modded, and the vcore is rock steady under 100% load? This surely increases the value.

I hope there's a vdroop mod for my next mobo, whatever it ends up being!
just set it at 1.37 and vdroop will lower it to what you need and you should hit 4.0 on that.

EDIT and yes you will still have a vdroop just not the fluctuating kind

I don't know how I missed this, Shawn. Sorry about that.

I hope to replace it this summer if I can find one that fast that I know will be a top-notch mobo. Of course, I'll have to also find some really good Micron D9 chipped ddr3 ram.

Why do you want this mobo so badly? Is it that good that I should keep it?
