maybe 15c

I'll only crap bricks if it somehow manages to hold true to your statement...for example:

At 3.6GHz, with 1.42v at idle, my temperatures (in a 20C ambient room) are 31C and 30C, for cores 0 and 1, respectively. Now tell me, how can it possibly drop idle temps 15C? I can't idle under ambient, not physically possible with air.

If you mean load cooling, I highly doubt it would load at 40C (since my current loads are 55C), i.e. a 10C delta from idle to load. That's the kind of temps you'd expect on a high end CPU-only watercooling loop. Not a heatsink.

i meant drop 15c in load temps jees lol

DUDE ur temps suck major ass.

My e6550 with 1.53volts and 3.8ghz loads at 57c

Those cooler master heatsinks look very inefficient and most likely don't use all the surface area of that heatsink..

I vote for the TRUE obviously, it definitely is dissipating some heat from the Quad Core, I can touch the heatsink and it feels warm.

Voltage at load? Ambient temperature? 57C is meaningless without that information sir. Regardless, beating the Ultra 120 Extreme is a tough feat. Beating it by a wide margin is downright difficult on air.
