Man, I feel bad for the 9800GX2 owners...really...and my heart bleeds for those who bought Quad SLI. I mean, yeah, it sounds good in theory....but we've been down this path before...and it is a dark path.

im quite content with my 9800gx2 thank you very much. huge single card improvement for me over the 8800gts (g92). have the top FPS in crysis benches (for now). Love it. Run everything very high (dx9 tho) and get an avg of 60 frames. just got assasins creed and forced 16 MSAA at 1920x1200.. smooooth as can be.

not saying future cards wont kill it (future cards always kill current stuff, duh) but it was definitely worth it

Hope they tested them more than XFX tested their XXX Edition Ultras...apparently one of the highest rma'ed cards.

And in three months after the 9900series comes out, there will be another new and beastly card.

Do yourselves a favor kids, buy now, or you'll never buy.

It doesn't work like that, think how much value people got out of the 8800GTX.

Even today, it still rules high resolutions along with the ultra.

Yes but who knew that was going to happen it's a gamble, as fast video cards move along you could keep waiting I know whenever a new card comes out someone says I'm waiting for the next one or the price to go down, Im glad I bought my 8800GTX when it first came out because it's been a pretty decent card for the last 18months
For all we know the next card could be a 9800GTX with more memory and who knows it could come next week and totally own everything.

I wouldn't complain for the price though $300 for a 9800GTX if they would of had it back when I got my 8800GTX which I paided $625 for it in 2006 I would of got one.

Hopefully Nvidia don't give up on the 9800GX2 like they did on the 7950GX2 in Quad if they do they will not sell many GX2's in the future or they prove it's worth it I for one didn't forget what they pulled with the 7950GX2 Quad.

Which one the XFX8800Ultra XXX?
I know the 7900GTX was one of the all time RMAed cards, I RMAed two first time I ever got a new video card DOA.
I remember right after the 7900's nvidia stopped allowing factory overclocking for awhile when the 8800GTX and 8800GTS first came out.
