My girlfriend has an overly hot E4500 that needs some overclocking, but she loves her metallic green case too much to get one with proper cooling and it still has the stock intel HSF. I'd love to give her one of these so we can get that thing at a decent speed...

Just wondering, but why are you now saying that AMD users can't win? It wouldn't be too difficult to jerry rig it to work properly...just saying.

Regarding that link.. In one of his posts (2nd, i think) he says

Quote:
I take it off, and lap it. It passed the ketchup test flawlessly, but I lapped it anyways. One example of OCD kicking in lol.
What on earth is the Ketchup test!?

Guys? Ketchup test? I'm intrigued. (edit - found it. Read on a bit, or jump some links and some chap shows how he used printer ink to monitor his lap job - not a bad idea at all when you think about it.)

Also, how's the compatibility with the new DFI DK P35..? As my F7Pro makes contact with my NBsink and well, if i definately know this wont fit my board, i'll opt out.

i am here to say it's an amazing heatsink, especially if you lap it and pressure mount it (i did the exact same thing). And if you add 2 12cm fan on it in push/pull configuration this thing is unbeatable.

i can't believe you are giving this away, you are too rich
post #98 of 176
I currently have a LGA 775 Pentium 4. I have been thinking about overclocking it, but haven't because my fan is loud enough at it's lowered speed. If I did get it, I would fully overclock my P4 to the edge, then do the same when I get a C2D.
And yes, I would show a worklog of my hardware...\\

BTW you are crazy giving this away...

BTW, my temps are 60 degrees Celsius = 140 degrees Fahrenheit with CSS...

nothing else running.

Definitely need that Scythe Infinity for that type of situation. BTW, the processor being used is a E6750.

One more thing... Are instructions included?
Instructions (albeit, buried somewhere) are included in this thread.

I'll also be completely available via PM, email or phone to assist with any questions/problems.
