Well today i put a good 4 hours of sanding in and got one side done. I cant wait until this sanding is over and done with. Still need to pollish it and add the AL letters. I used 2000 grit sandpaper and the tough geen scrubbing bit on the back of a sponge and a cloth to achive this along with a little water.

The aluminium before commencing sanding.

And this is the same spot after sanding.

And here it is all done. I get a better photo in the moring. Just ran out of sun light as i took this photo but finished in time so it was ok.

And here is my little workbench while i am sanding

Smokie that think case is the *****! I would love to build my own case but I live in an apartment with no place to work on it. How much time do you think it will take to complete the case and also how much money?

How much money have is spent... To much . The aluminium was $110 the feet i am getting $9, the handles $34.

Materials = $153

And about $30 on pollish, pop rivits, sand paper and other misc parts. The hole saw was $94. Had to buy a pop rivit gun that was $12.

Tools = $136

Total = $289 (Way to much)!!!

But i will have the tools for good so i supose it isnt that bad. If i was to go out and buy a $290 case i could get something DAM good! But i would have never had the fun of building one from the beginning.

Dont know how many exact hours but it has gone over 8 months. Some days i dont do any work, others 30 to 60 minutes and for the likes of today 4+ hours. So at and average of an hour a day thats about 240 hours. I think that might be a bit over guessed but a lot of time non the less. Thanks for the positive feedback as well

So i started pollishing the side pannel this morning and after about a good hour it is all finished. So here are the pics.

This just goes to show the difference the pollish makes.

Bit of a birds eye view of it all pollished.

Here is a couple of shots to show the reflection.
