WC Case advice

Thread Starter
Hello everyone,
I'm getting ready to take the dive into WC, and am in need of a new case. So far i've been considering the CM Stacker 8xx or the TT Armor cases. I've seen some pretty nice Stacker WC setups, and am definitely leaning that way, especially as it can hold lots of fans until i get my loop set up. Is it difficult to WC one of those cases, or is it relatively easy?

My next question involves my mobo, and weather or not it can handle WC. I know that the SE's have a bad rep, but i can't justify throwing it against a wall until it actually breaks, so I'm stuck with it for a while. Has anyone successfully WC'd one of these, or is it not worth it?

Thanks in advance for replies.

I would say that the CM stacker rocks for watercooling based on other posts that I have read, alot of people recommend it.

Another fun thing to do is to buy a Mac Pro case off of ebay and put your WC setup in there

Any of the Mountain Mods range and you'll be in the range of elite watercooling cases.

The Cosmos S is a good water cooler too.

Cog has a point though. If money isn't an issue, Mountain Mods are nearly unbeatable.

Either case would be a good choice. Keep in mind that you'll want to break out the dremel most likely......I mounted my rad on the back and cut holes for the tubing, as well as a large squad in the drive bay cage area for the water pump.

I have been thinking about ordering this one too...there is another one around by Lian Li.....I think it's a bit taller.

EDIT:
Nevermind that one's way too small. I think it's the P80 that I was after. It's expensive though.....around $400.

Here it is

I'm using an Antec p182 with my 360gtx fine. I didn't have to mod it at all, just remove the hardrive bay in the top area of the case for the pump. The bay even slides for easy installation and removal

The case is really quiet too imo. It really dampens the pumps high pitched noise.

edit:

This pics a little old..but you get the gist of it.

I have the TT armor. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811133154
One thing about it, ITS HUGE! I still managed to fill it up to the brim but its still a server designed case. TT designed it with watercooling in mind, hinting the tubing holes in the back. Also, if you remove the front HDD bays its a good place for a double rad. I havent tried any other case with wc/ing so armor only I would say with experience. The Antec P182 is another favorite of mine. It has alot of unique compartments that with a dremel/drill you can easily route tubing through. This case will deff. have your wcing rig look very neat. The floor of the case can also, if youre good with a hole saw, be used to house the Rad. Either the TT armor or Antec I would recommend but thats just me.
