8800 GTS Cooling

Thread Starter
I got an oldish Inno3D 8800 GTS 320 MB.
I was thinking about adding a Zalman VF1000.
http://www.silentpcreview.com/article769-page1.html

What I can't really figure is if I need a Zalman ZM-RHS88 as well.
http://www.quietpcusa.com/Zalman-ZM-...--P344C23.aspx

Some people seem to be doing without the ZM-RHS88 and I saw someone claiming that the ZM-RHS88 didn't even fit, that was on a GT card though.

So do I need the ZM-RHS88?

Or should I just go with Thermaltake Duorb and do I need any extras for it?
http://thermaltakeusa.com/product/Co...2/cl-g0102.asp

How about fan control and Thermaltake Duorb?
Is looking into undervolting needed or will it just be quiet enough?

I see there's already lots about this, I am still a bit confused though.

I can't say much about the other coolers, but let me firstly say this:

Duorbs + G80 = BAD.

The duorb works exceptionally well on a g92 chip, much better than many coolers for the price.

The G80 produces a crapload more heat than the g92, and the size of the duorb struggles with the load. Stock is a better option over the duorb for a g80.

I have a VF1000 on my GTS 512, and it does not need the RHS88. But your g80 gts will need the rhs88. so yeah, you'll need to get it.
