tearing in my TV in playback from my laptop

Thread Starter
hi guys,

when i play a video on my TV, using my laptop s-video tv-out, there's tearing in the video when it's moving a lot. i have asus live update, so everything should be up to date, and i'm using the latest k-lite codec pack. i'm also on windows vista home premium 32 bit. the graphic card is a 8600m GT

i tried playing with some settings in the nvidia display control panel.

any help is welcome

make sure you have the tv set to its max refresh rate in the driver control panel. when you add the tv as a second monitor, it should give you some extra options.
