3110/IP35pro first run

Well got my 3110 fired up finally. Its a Q805A. Had some issues with the mobo getting stuck on post code 7F but finally got into bios. Now everything is good.

Initial test so far seems fairly stable at 3.9ghz with 1.32vcore (1.31v under load). Have not tested out max fsb yet, may have to put in the cellshocks and see what I can get it to.

These guys are pretty fast little chips also. Pulling mid 11s super pi under vista is pretty good for 3.9ghz

Well gotta say this has been a experience. Eventually I figured out some issues. For some reason in vista I could change around 65nm cpu's without issue at all. Just clear cmos and go. Well when going to 45nm that was a different story, kept getting reboots during loading and allways had to pick last known config to work halfway right.

Anyways reinstalled vista and what a difference. Priming right now at 3.6ghz 1.2vcore which is the lowest I can go on this board. I have a vid of 1.1125 according to coretemp but the mobo only goes down to 1.225v with this bios.

So long story short the intial reason for rasing volts was thought that it was unstable due to clockspeeds but in all actuality the OS wasnt agreeing with it for some reason. Eh maybe this can help out someone else trying to switch over or maybe it was just my setup with the issues.

So when are you going to start pushing it? There haven't been too many with that CPU that have tried maxing( sorry didn't mean the pun) them out so far.
Especially not water cooling.
