Thinking of trying Arch

i think i am going to try arch linux but i have a few questions

1. is the installation fairly easy going
2. what is a good desktop environment to run: i want it to have the arch symbol on the start menu thing

i suggesty you look at the arch wiki alot before you burn the disk, once trying to installl make sure you have the wiki in view

The install is straight forward, but if you've never done it then you'd probably want to look at their wiki page. The installer is text based, but don't fear, its nice.

As for the desktop environment look into KDEmod.

I printed it out the Beginners Guide, it got me through the install. I love the amount of control you get over the os, and Pacman is kewl. I'm sticking with it because I got my wireless working with it
