It wouldn't sell well on the PC - most people don't have a joypad, or a wheel, so they'd use the keyboard and it would be even more dumbed down. Plus there are already much better and more realistic games on the PC anyway.
Bbbut, LFS doesn't even have real cars! I understand what you're saying. My comment was a response to FieryCoD's comment about the PS3 not being "powerful".

On your comment about better and realistic games on the PC. While it is true that LFS, GTR2, and rFactor have superior physics, it's still a lot of hassel to set them up correctly. If you want to drive a real car in rFactor, you have to download unofficial mods created by 3rd parties, and sometimes the mods doesn't take full advantage of the great physics engine offered. Meanwhile, console games like GT5P doesn't have the hassel of setting up, and look better than the above three in their stock forms.

because moving a mouse is like moving a gun right?

its not more natural to aim with anything...... maybe you find it more natural because you play on pc. I first gamed on consoles. And though now I do prefer a mouse, It was very hard for me when I first stared. I still enjoy a pair of joysitcks(no homo).

For noobs. no games I play have auto aim.

Thats a pretty cliche thing to say. I made a very coherent argument. So don't through around cliches like that.

It has four, actually (F1 car, RAC, Formula BMW & FSAE car). It's realistic enough for a racing team (V1 Fortec) to put their car in the game to try and find their next driver...

some of the guns in the military are pretty damned heavy. not quite 100 lbs (those would be vehicle mounted), but some of the heavier rifles are up to 50 lbs.

and no service member i've ever met, even SF, carried more than 80 lbs on their back. just thought i'd throw that out there

my mate is a soldier for the Australian army, currently on leave from a tour in Afghanistan.

his job is the lead gunner, which means he mans the Mag58 7.62mm machine gun. bloody heavy weapon.

on average, a solider in the field can carry up to and aroung 75-80kgs of equipment. dunno what that is in pounds, aussies use metric system.

sorry for the hijack there.

yeah the 240B (light machine gun) in the U.S. military weighs about the same. 80kg= about 175lbs. i guess taking EVERYTHING into account, not just the rucksack, that sounds about right

those flak vests are damned heavy as well

For those saying it shouldn't be out on pc for lack of controllers etc., that is the lamest way to pad your post count I've ever read. I have a nice Saitek R440 forcefeedback racing wheel for the pc, it cost me all of $20 on thier refurbished site. A dual stick game pad at wal-mart is like $12, if you can't get a wheel or a gamepad to play this on pc the you don't have the money to get the game or likely the rig to run it.

Only if its a crappy port-job. The ps3 is ~7800gtx right?

Fantastic news if it has any truth to it.
