OK, I know that CPU-Z gave me an error on my RAM saying it was PC2-5300.. but Sisoft Sandra is too. I know I've set it to 1066Mhz through BIOS, and that's what the speed actually reads. But why is it being recognized as a 333Mhz module?

And apparently, it came from the future... check out the manufactured date. lol

Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong? lol

CPU-Z says the same.

Also, whenever I set the FSB to auto through BIOS, it sets my RAM to 667 for some reason.. instead of 1066... which is the stock speeds for my RAM.

I've also been getting random BSOD's... my computer reboots too quick for me to read it. It happens when doing some operating.. like I tried to select a text for photoshop, then all of a sudden I get a BSOD. Then after running 3DMARK06, 5 minutes later, I get the BSOD. Only word I could read was "memory" from the BSOD.

Hopefully this RAM aint bad. Do I have to reset my BIOS or something? It's very odd that it sets it to 667Mhz

This a similar problem which I had with the original OCZ ram I bought. It was packaged as PC6400 but cpuz identified it as PC 5300 and it would clock no higher than 711. I returned the ram to the retailer and exchanged for different PC6400 OCZ ram. I then was able to clock to 888 stable. I also got BSOD and lockup with the original ram. Might be the same problem.

The mobo BIOS does default to 667.Have you tried setting it at 1066 in the Bios.

Until you get your temps down I'd highly suggest you at least back off on how far you OC. I'm not sure on Quads, but my Core 2 Duo only hits around 53C at full load, and I really don't even like to see it that high. The fact that you're getting BSOD's just confirms that your system isn't stable.

Your RAM voltage is set to 1.8v, thats why, try bumping it up a few...

See if this helps. Q6600 OC
