I have spec'd out two of Alienware's laptops for on the road gaming and I need some help deciding if one would be better than the other. I have attached a screenshot of the specs of each. Thanks for your time.

Attachment 70663

Right...although whats with the 24" monitor? Also, battery life will be short.

So I guess a good question after looking over it myself is... The difference between Dual 8700s in SLI or one 8800m GTX ... Also one has raid 0 the other doesn't. Difference processors not only speed, but different caches one with 4 and the other with 6...

I would suggest not doing it at all. I think it is just a bad idea. Spending a lot of money on a laptop is a waste. I spent $3000+ on a Dell XPS Gen II about 3 years ago and it is now a pile of crap. It's a terrible investment. You would be better off putting money into something else.

First of all, the one on the left is clearly better. I think having raid and sli would be a silly waste of battery life on a laptop. Of course it all depends on the price.

My vote's for the left one.

Left side for sure. It's got a better balance to it.

I agree with this guy.
If I had to choose, I guess the left one. Smaller screen means you aren't lugging around huge brick.
Spending that much for a laptop is hard for me to imagine.
