Thats your best bet, change out the two hard drives to one 200GB 7200rpm and the price is 3777ish

They have dual or quad core options , and either one 8800gtx sli 8800gtxs or 8700m

These guys just got bought by OCZ. They are going to try to hook me up with a deal because they are actually priced a little higher than Alienware. I'll let you know what happens.

Thanks for the new site. I would much rather give them my money than Alienware.

Well they never got back with me... Either way I have found a few other solutions that are a lot cheaper and I get a lot more out of them. Also I found some info that is somewhat old, but I'm not sure if the 9500 GS is a better choice than the 8800gtx card.

Honestly, if you're looking for a decent gaming laptop build, just build a Dell 17inch. They don't come with an SLI option but they do come with either the 8800GTm I believe. Will work great and you'll still get some battery life out of it.

Or better yet, get an ASUS laptop. You'll be 10 times happier with it because you'll be able to overclock on your own through the BIOS like you do on your desktop.

I heard on the radio that Alienware are piece of trash now. It's the barbie doll of PC. flashy and cute, but they sells a $1,500 systems for $3,000. I tend to believe it since it's now owned by Dell.

Not really looking to overclock and the battery life isn't an issue. Dell's do have an option to SLI as well. They are also one of the most expensive and limited to componet selection.

Yep I'm not going to buy an Alienware now. I'm looking at other options now.

Edit: I guess I just knew of them... So that was my initial choice. Now that I have done some research I'm going to be giving my money to another company.

Like hell you can.

Anyway, spending anything over $1500 for a laptop is a complete and utter waste of money.

To some... You can't bring a desktop no where near as easily as you can a laptop, and for that reason alone it is worth it to me. I'm just making sure I get the best price/performance that I can. I'm not trying to future proof or anything of the sort.

I just want to be able to play some Age of Conan while I have to travel this summer. lol... Hopefully the game will be worth the money.
