I think Qb is limiting his selections to ones he can get from Mcenter, but, yes gibby, those are a very nice set. Newegg seems to be having a superSale on the 2x2 kits (Well, not technically "NewEgg'- All the venders are offfering whopping MIR's).
Of the 3 kits you listed @ MC, I personally would go with the OCZ, just because there seem to be loads of threads of people rantin' that their new Ballistic kits are dying L,R &C. (and try to get a visual on the sets they have- see if they are single or double sided) Double is OK, single-sided = suspect)
And of the OCZ's get the ones that don't look like "fake ghetto poser bling" - direct quote from one of the memory threads here, they said the Platinum 's looked like Little John's Grill guy designed them.

If you get there and they have G.Skill -grab those Either 800MHz PK or 1000 PQ (they're roughly equivalent, except for binning) and are better than (not to be confused with) the 800MHz PQs.
Cheers Mate

anything above 3gb is overkill for vista 32 bit. I would go with the balistix 2x1gb. Also look on newegg you can find awesome deals on mem. there. For example I just picked up an additional 2x1gb of corsair's dominator mem. for $30.

Get 2x2 GB. Granted, not all of it will be recognized, but you plan to upgrade to 64-bit anyways (btw... contact MS. I think they can send you the 64-bit CD at a nominal fee, and you can use that with your current legit key).

And with the current (low) RAM prices, there simply is no reason not to get 4GB. I think this kit:
http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0264253

is a very nice choice.

Thanks Chozart, that OCZ link is the same one I had thought was the best deal based on price. $79 for 2x2GB is a pretty rockin deal!
