Rivatuner and ATItool question

Thread Starter
I made a thread before but now the problem has escelated. I have an EVGA 8800GTS 512 with a zalman vf1000 cooler on it.

I was planning on overclocking it using rivatuner and testing for stability using ATItool.

Problem. Rivatuner tels me beofre i can mess with clock settigns, i need to reboot. I do so, but then when i start the program again, it tells me the same thing. it gives me an option to not reboot, but then the window just closes like nothing happend.

Now, when i open ATItool, i try to click the scan for artifacts button. I get a message saying my video card is not being used by windows and testing has been disabled. Thing is, its the only card I have.

I'm using xtremeG's 174.74 drivers. Can anyone tell me whats going on?

Well, I can tell you offhand that ATITool does not support vista officially; you need to get the beta version for it to work.

When Riva tuner says it needs to reboot, ignore it.
As for ATItool try this version, it's the new beta.

I believe this is the latest version if you're not using it you should try it instead.

Not trying to step on toes but ATItool in BeTa used for vista is highly un-accurate try Everest Ultimate works great for Vista
