Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro?

Thread Starter
I have one of those new half-height Intel stock heatsinks that came with my CPU. Weights around 250g and keeps my CPU at 55c @ full load (3GHz), checked temps with EVEREST and stress-tested with ORTHOS.

Realistically, how much of an improvement will the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro make? 10c drop? 5c?

I want to OC to 3.2GHz or 3.33GHz which is too hot for the stock cooler.

Thanks.

The temp drop can't really be predicted but all you need to know is there will be a huge difference.

It's actually a very good cooler. I got one before they jacked the prices on them at the egg as a fill in before my waterblock came, and I was honestly impressed. It took a e2180 to 3.2GHz and a E8400 to 4GHz. Of course it's definitely not a TRUE or a Tuniq, but it will give you decent temps that are improvements over the stock hs.

I am pumping a ridiculous 1.51v on my E6300 to get it to run at 3.1 GHz, and using my AC Freezer 7 Pro keeps it at 34c idle, 52c under load. I'm sure you won't be using that much voltage, so I would expect your results to be even better.

Lap it and use AS 5 if you want even better results.

1.425v into my E2160 at the moment and load temps are 48C. This thing is incredible.
worked great on my E4300 for over a year with smart fan disabled in bios so it was at 100% the whole time....

Durable, quality cooling, I was at 3.24 with 1.39 vcore and temps were around 68 load on the cores, not bad considering the max on that chip is 85.. Prolly wouldave done alot better lapped...
