Not bad. I'd recommend checking Direct Canada. It's like our NewEgg. I love it

"Well I check a few of their prices for some of the types of parts I'm looking at, and I didn't really see many savings over getting it from Canada Computers. In fact, with the shipping, it would end up being a lot more."

"Maybe you can link me to some better priced replacements for the items I have in the original post?"

Well your build includes mail in rebates which don't count imo, you will still have to pay that $75 up front and the taxes, making your build come to $566 before taxes. DirectCanada ships for free if you order over $500 and you don't have to pay the PST if you are not a resident of BC. So that gives you an extra 8% to play with. This is the budget AMD build I came up with $529 before taxes, $564 after taxes including shipping.

Good point Dman. I've heard countless times people forgetting to send the MIR or even taking forever to get the refund. I've heard anywhere from 4-6 weeks to 8+ months. That's something to consider too. Even some companies never send you the money. OFten it's a third party that does the MIR and they could screw up and it wouldn't be your company's fault (ie: Corsair or whatever)

The free shipping is pretty fast. Ground shipping from BC to Montreal (opposite ends of the country!) took only 10 days or so including weekends. Mostly the case took a long time because it was huge the other stuff took 5 days.

Air shipping is sick fast. I get small stuff like RAM in 2 days usually. The case I have no idea if you can even air it for a decent cost...

Ya I always buy my stuff from either directcanada or ncix now. The $9.99 air shipping is cheaper then the gas it costs me to drive down to canada computers. I had a bad experience with canada computers when I ordered a cheap asrock mobo online, took them a month to get it to me, and the website support is terrible. "Beep! Leave a message in the persons mailbox and they will get right back to you! "Click" the mailbox you have reached is full, have a nice day!"

I actually just ordered my eVGA 9800GTX from there. 299.00 + 9.99 Air Shipping to Toronto plus GST worked out to 330.00 Canadian. What a steal...

I never knew of them until like last week. Seems like we do have a newegg. NCIX isn't bad either, but some of their prices are 0_o I used to love CanadaComputers, but you can get stuff alot cheaper if you shop around most likely.
