robosexuals? lol, thats a good one!

this thread is starting to remind me of the movie a.i. and an episode from futurama where fry fell in love with lucy liu bot.

just the thought of having a relationship with a robot creeps me out. i hope i wont live long enough to see the day robots express emotions.

Seriously, who gets married thinking "Now let's make some babies!".
It's about duty, maybe what would be called "dharma" in other cultures. It's the mark of an adult to raise children. That's why we live. We live for the next generation.

While I don't think marriage should be "required," I think people should at least be in an emotional relationship before they do it. People now think of sex as a recreational activity. I think the main reason that those whom you call the "prudes" have the whole "no sex before marriage" rule thing is because a real man would make a promise to a woman before taking her. If a man is just going to do it and leave her hanging if something happens, then he is no better than a dog. That's my understanding of the "prudes," anyway.

Thats your opinion, that "duty" is not of mine. I have a deeper perception of life than to hump another human and sprout other humans and raise them and then say I lived a good life because I did so.

**EDIT**

I'm not saying I think raising children is stupid or anything. Just my view on life is I don't have to raise children and have a family to have a great life.

Whatever, I got my morals.

We all believe something different. Me, I am a law binder and hopefully soon law enforcer. I believe in Marriage, and I believe in creation. These ideas of robots as love partners are nothing more then something to fill our lust temporary, but will never actually make us happy, or at least a false sense of happiness. I will tell you something, I enjoy finding a woman and falling in love with her, then to be shot down. Why? Because I know I am human, and that things will never always work out for me. For instance, like in my post in the OT, I am still in love with a girl who is American, and she is now ignoring me for unknown reasons. But at least, I know that she has feelings, maybe not the same as mine though.

But whatever, not everyone shares my views.

Right. I kinda thought someone would point that out, but then I said to myself, "Eh, it goes without saying..." But I guess I should have specified that.

That's your opinion, and I respect that.

You see, I think there comes a time when a man has to ask himself whether he wants a life of happiness or a life of meaning.

Two very different paths.

To be truly happy, a man must live absolutely in the present, no thought of what's gone before and no thought of what lies of ahead.

But a life of meaning: a man is condemned to wallow in the past and obsess about the future.
idk if that applies or not, but that just came to my mind.

Anyway, this is off topic and I think we're on good enough terms to end the conversation here
