Advice: pick any 3 games

Hey guys, as some of you might know from helping me (thanks!) I am building a new computer (Q9450, 9600GT, 8GB DDR2 800) and I'd like to buy 2-3 games while I'm in US. To start things off, I'm currently thinking of: Crysis, COD4, and BioShock. I don't really care though, I'm just looking for some really cool games that can take advantage of the new hardware AND offer great play. Oh and I have a 720p projector I'd like to play them on ;-)

Crysis, CoD4, and the Witcher would be my choices.
Day of Defeat Source should be on ALL peoples lists
Also CoD4 is a must
I would get an RTS as a third choice- maybe Company of Heroes or World in Conflict, if you really want to take advantage of that hardware, get Supreme Commander, even with that system it will still drop massively in fps with 8 armies all at 1000bots each and an 81km map

Crysis, Assassins Creed and Bioshock for graphics

Crysis, COD4, Bioshock for gameplay

I say go with your original set. All 3 are amazing games. But all 3 are FPS. If you are into RTS you could try WiC or CoH

EDIT: Damn you Armadi

I used to _love_ RTS back in the day when I had time. I was obsessed with the Age of Empires franchise... and Warcraft II/Command & Conquer before that... those were the days... RTS I probably wouldn't play on the projector, but I might be getting a nice LCD too once I'm back in Prague, so it's definitely a good suggestion

Get a Q6600 and spend the extra money on a better GPU. The 9600GT has no future proofness.

Crysis (for benching), CoD4 (for MP), WiC for great campaign.

yup. My $170 HD3870 is a better value than the 9600gt. Get a 8800GTS.

That's a great suggestion, but this PC is not primarily for gaming; sadly it's for doing J2EE development on (lots of servers running, etc). I was even thinking of getting some crap $50 video card, but I threw in the 9600GT cuz it was cheap and opened up enough gaming doors to keep me happy for a short time.

Crysis, Call of Duty 4, and whatever else you want really. If you want an awesome single player, Bioshock. If you want another multi-player, I like Lost Planet and Halo 2.
