Well, I guess I could try it...

yeah lol I set up RAID 0 in about 3 minutes

make sure you get your RAID drivers before installing windows - put the driver on a USB drive then start install of vista - in vista find the 'load driver' button and thats the only step u need to take - highlight all compatible drivers and install them (3 for me) then just install

make sure you enable RAID on the right drives tho lol

That's odd freeroller. I never had to load any drivers for mine to work.

Raid 0 adds space. it's basically two drives striped together to form one big drive. Two 150gb raptors in a Raid0 = 300gb. just know that in most cases, if ONE hard drives goes, you lose all info.

Media and more media. I opted for a lot of space instead of speed and have no regrets.

That's why it's recommended that you purchase both Raptors at the same time so you know it's from the same batch, meaning both drives where manufacturered on the same month and year. Second, after you get the drives run extensive hdd tests on the drives before putting anything on it. Each drive manufacturer has their own set of tools. WD uses Data Lifeguard, Hitachi uses Drive Fitness, etc, etc.

I hear a lot of people say, "even if it passes all the test doesn't mean the drive is not destined to fail". True, but with most hardware, especially with hard drives, if it is going to fail it will fail within days of using it, some fail the minute their put to use or "the click of death".
