A demo for Alone in the Dark is due to hit the Marketplace around the same time as the game is expected to launch, according to a moderator on the Atari forum.
According to comments made by forum admin Tenebra on the Atari forums, 360 owners can look forward to a demo of Eden Studios’ forthcoming horror epic “at around launch†time for the full game, which is currently pencilled in for 20 June.
The same user caused a bit of a stir yesterday by saying that the demo would actually appear during May for PC and 360, and that a PS3 demo was planned as well.
He later denied this was the case, claiming that he had been “given incorrect information†and that he was unable to confirm when the other formats would get the demo.
With the PS3 version of Alone in the Dark still without a firm release date, we’d have been surprised to see a demo of it this soon.
For PC owners though, who are due to receive the game on the same day as 360 and Wii fans, this could potentially be a big disappointment, so hopefully Atari won’t leave them waiting too long.
Alone in the Dark is due out on PC, 360 and Wii on 20 June, with the PS3 version to follow later this year. And it looks rather stunning.
