Games today taking more then their fare share? - Page 3

You people are out of your mind if you think Crysis on Very High DX10 isn't breathtaking.

Either you have never played it at that setting or you are just pissed because you couldn't. I don't play Crysis at all really and will stand by most of your arguments about gameplay. But to act like Assassin's Creed or CoD4 have BETTER graphics than a maxed out Crysis is a farce.

There's a big difference between great graphics and a beautiful game. The difference between technical realism and artistry. The only (not the best I'm sure) example I can think of is World of Warcraft vs. Everquest2.

EQ2's graphics are by FAR superior to WoW, but WoW has IMHO much better art direction.

I know it's subjective, but I think you get my point.
TF2: not realism - fantastic graphics
HL2e2: bits of both set in beautiful surroundings

Meh.. I'm rambling... sorry!

For what Crysis needs to produce those kinds of graphics is completely criminal. It shouldn't take those kinds of requirements to produce what it does. The game is poorly made and it shows.

this seems like some kind of "master plan" by the makers of crysis...think about it, they made a game that had a TON of hype, but wouldnt run that well on most computers. so now, they port it over to consoles, so now everyone with the same console will be able to play it no problem.

they used us.. lol.
