Best Motherboard for the E8400

Thread Starter
Hi,

I'm building a new PC and I think I will go for the E8400. What motherboard should I get with it in your opinion ?? I'm thinking about a 680i LT... Will it be okay according to you ??

I don't know if I really want to have a SLI mobo. When I built my last computer, I bought a SLI mobo cause I planned to buy a second GFX card the next year. One year later, I change my 6600GT for a 7600GT because was better to have one 7600 than 2 6600. Do you think I should buy a SLI mobo ? I'm thinking about something like a 9800GTX or a 8800GT. Will it be good to buy a second one in like 1 and a half year ??

I would appreciate to have your opinion ..

THX

You may want to look as this thread.
http://www.overclock.net/intel-cpus/...ode-e8400.html
Look what boards are being used by the best OCers in the links from the first post.
Looks like a lot of P35 and X38 boards
2 guys here have the Foxconn Mars boards and have gotten to 600FSB. Those are P35 boards, but they are hard to come by.

I'd try getting the best single card you can afford. You'll probably end up the just like last time and won't need a second card.
Also that gives you more motherboard options.
