Opinions? Obviously the price is a factor but I don't want to skimp HUGELY on performance.

if you are stuck between these two i would say the first one, as the pressure drop wouldnt be as much as the full coverage block. If this is going in the same loop as the processor you may want to consider a higher flow block such as the mcw60.

I had the old EK waterblock, but had to sell cos it wasn't compatible with crossfire - I must admit it kept my temps way down, was just wondering if I could get a cheaper alternative as pretty brassic at the moment! If EK is by far the better solution though, I shall just save!

You think the furst would be just as efficient or slightly less so at cooling? Obviously the memory wouldnt be covered so I'd have to get ram sinks also?

I don't think cooling those two cards which exceed 80c 90c on load will make a difference in temp if you were to block up one card. What I mean is your temps will be the same with that one card, even if you loop into other GPU. What matters is the temp of the liquid. If that is cool to touch then your set.

Problems start to happen when theres not enough cooling or a warm case, then the liquid gets warm. But once again,, maybe a 8c increase using two blocks over one block, but that is not guaranteed as you can have no 8c increase, just depends on your setup. Everyones setup is different. GL,,
