If anything this topic gives me a reason not to upgrade to the 9800gtx. Reason being...I had my q66 at 3.825 and cards at 648/1000 and got 20k in xp. Yeah I know he was running vista, but is that enough margin to upgrade and spend that much more money? Me thinks not.

Well it just not about 3DMARK06 scores and who can Overclock there 8800GT,GTS & GTX the highest. Remember the 9800GTX was just released not to long ago compared to the 88GT/GTS that has been out for 4 months. So the drivers are much better. But what I found playing Crysis now at a resolution of 1920 x 1200 settings on HIGH on DX10 I was able to play the game with no problems or lag compared to my 8800GT's in SLI. The max setting I could go with my 8800GT's on Crysis was HIGH Res @ 1280 x 1024 on DX9 only for it not to be so choppy. So the only thing I notice with these cards are the higher Resolution you can take it up to and still be able to play the games. I see allot of benchmarks on DX9 lets see some Crysis on DX10 and then we will talk..

Well I finally made the 21K mark using my new QX9650 @ 4050GHz same as the Q6600, but with the QX9650 was able to push a bit higher. Planning on a 4.4GHz OC mark to reach for the high score.

Well you are on Windows XP which gains about 300-600 points over a Vista system. I am also using BIOS 174.93 BETA. But it seems really solid over the 174.74 driver in Vista. I plan on a XP Pro bench this coming week. I should hit around 21,500-22,000 I hope same speeds. Now when I start my high CPU around 4.4GHz to 4.5GHz I hope to hit the 23K range...But I am looking forward on the new GPU coming out in JUNE this year, then it will be STEP up TIME...
