Finding my max FSB? - Page 2

But only 450FSB? Even my p35 board has a fsb wall of 550ish. But it suits its purpose i guess and my e6550 will suck with only 450FSB.
Its the quad cores that limit the FSB OC. The NVIDIA chipset has a chipset strap issue aabove 480FSB anyways, so there is no point in trying for too high a FSB. But like I said, a dual core in his board will attain a higher FSB.

Throw a quad core in your P35 board and it will most likely max out at 450 FSB, unless you give the NB over 1.65v.

i highly doubt that your fsb limit is 450... i can run my e6300 at 505x7 on a p35-ds3l... its probably just a fsb hole try upping it by 20 or so and that might help

fsb limitation on a quad is much more substantial than on a dual. I have hit 535 fsb on this board with a dual, best i got with a quad was 450.

Thank you for provideing some experience as well. I felt like I was repeating myself in the last few posts. I tried my best to describe the issue as best I could.
