I don't know where to begin. The copyright abuse has to be stopped.

lawmakers need to be held accountable for the laws that they pass... when they do things like this they should be sent to jail and not that white collar joint.

Another reason why I hate Oregon.

Mostly because of all the Meth-heads running around Springfield...

Strange, Wisconsin has just about every state law posted online. http://wsll.state.wi.us/

Edit: Almost forgot all court record are online as well. http://wcca.wicourts.gov/index.xsl;j...C96B8B.render2

Are there any other states that do this?

So now we cannot even know the laws we have to abide to?

The whole point of the copyright system is to protect the little guy. The whole system is completely out of whack and is at the forefront of the tumor spreading across American society.

But.

The state of Oregon does actually have a case. I would say, if they provide the law on their website in full with an insignificant amount of errors in a given amount of time (say, 90 days), then they have a right to be the sole provider of public information. No problem.

But 500,000 errors? Seriously? That has to be the worst coding in internet history, especially by a government body.

Also, for every tax they don't hit you with while you're alive, they will hit your relatives with once you die - the states inheritance tax is likely the worst in the nation.
Basicly. Eugene (where i am right now and where i reside) is where all the hippies went after they realized the peace-love era was over (we get a lot of cool people here. The Wailers as in Bob Marleys band are playing here on the 1st). Oregon's a pretty weird place. Honestly if you leave towns like Eugene, Portland, or Salem, you'll find yourself in a very strange place full of rednecks. Almost like going into a completely different state.

I'm from Cottage Grove. Family still has a small mill there and fair sized piece of land in Creswell. Always did hope that I could go back there for good one of these days, but it looks less likely with year that passes.

Honestly, though, how does it hurt them to have the laws posted on another website? These lawsuitsjust seem like a total waste of time, money, and effort - no harm was done...they need to quit being so nit-picky.
