IMO, call/ e-mail them if you get 2 and ask them what they want you to do. If they want one back, ask them to pay for shipping (they would mail you a label).
If they say keep it, then you know you did what you could.
It is called Karma people, come on.
I believe it is much wiser for you to be completely honest. If they accidentally sent out a 2nd card on accident, then it's your responsibility and your challenge to tell them about it.

I mean, if you do get 2 video cards, and if you are honest about it with EVGA, there is one thing that will happen for sure. You're going to be instantly rewarded with really good feelings for your honesty. This reward isn't coming from EVGA. You know where it's coming from.

It's also possible that EVGA would reward you for your honesty and let you keep the card as a way to thank you for being so honest.

If you were EVGA, which customers would you like the most? Ones that were on your side, and therefore honest? Or ones that were selfish and dishonest?

Yeah , people are pretty greedy lol. I was going to call them , i was actually going to email them and ask them why it says there is two packages being sent to me. I mean , if i get to two video card , its not like i need the other one so why not let them know?

It's the right thing to do , even though nice people in this world are doomed , its good to know that you are a nice person

Well see what i get , im hoping they didnt send me two 8800GTS 320s for SLI to replace my 7900GTX , because if thats the case... im sending them back. Very nice of them , but my mobo cant support two cards and pci cards.

Thanks for the replies guys , i really apreciate it. I will be making a new thread and documenting the arriving boxes.

For one, honest people who do what's right are not doomed. Those who are being dishonest and don't care about doing what's right are.

But you're right. It is the right thing to do. In fact, call them right now, or e-mail them asking them about the packaging. They can still recall the shipment before it ever gets to you.

But if they say keep it, then you'll be able to keep it and still have a clear conscience. In this case, you could give it away (selling it would corrupt your conscience), and you'd end up rewarded with even more good feelings.

5cheese, i think you are being naive, the big corps couldn't give a damn about you, so you phone em, get thru to their customer support, after being in a queue for an hour, you tell them 'hey, you sent me an extra package that i have not paid for, would, as an honest citizen, you like me to send it back to you?'---underpaid call centre guy; 'no, dont worry, for being so honest you can keep it...', you--'well thankyou very much'--warm feeling cos u did THE RIGHT THING...--call centre guy, to the guy next to him, after you have hung up--'do you know what, some dick-head tried to send something back to us cos he he didnt think he deserved it cos we messed up...lol'

believe me, i've workeed in many call centres...

Yeah, so have I. I had to work next to some of the worst call center reps to ever walk this planet. You don't need to tell me what goes on in a call center. But regardless of all of that noise, it doesn't matter what they think at all. It's not about what they think. It's not about what EVGA as a company thinks. Now, for the record, I am not being naive. This is about making a wise decision instead of a foolish one.

If you want to support being dishonest, then fine. That's all on you. But don't cut me down for being honest and for supporting good values. Your attitude shows me that you'd much rather be dishonest and selfish with this scenario. But there again, that's all on you. You can do as you want. I'm just trying to defend the truth.
