Step up to 9800GTX?

Has anyone tried to setup from the 8800GTS 512 to the 9800GTX's other than just the stock one? I'm trying to do so but the only one it shows as an option is the stock one.

I've asked the same question and the answers were the same. Don't go for the 9800GTX unless your 8800 is a bad overclocker. GX2 would be a marginally better step up (excuse the pun).

Edit: Heh, I'm from White Plains too.

I see. Did you go to WPHS? If so what year did you graduate?

I lived in Dobbs Ferry. I didn't go to WPHS. I've been in White Plains for about 5 years now. Moving again in a few weeks.

I didn't think there were any computer enthusiasts in this area. The very scant shops you can find in Westchester blow hard and are also giant rip offs.

Yea tell me about it. I go to MicroCenter in NJ though once or twice a month, that place is awesome.
