There is a pretty comprehensive interview to be found here:

Anyone confirm if they did in fact reset the TMN ladder? Running integrated graphics on a new install so...
Not sure if they reset the ladder. You DO, by the way, need to create a new account, as this is a totally different game as far as they're concerned, it would seem.

And not sure if integrated will cut it for this game... I can run TMN on 1280x800 on Normal-high settings flawlessly, but When I run TMN Forever on 1280x800 low, I get FPS lag. Heck, I even dropped down to 800x600 with medium settings and still got lagged, particularly when I crashed or went off a ramp. Now I'm running a 64mb 7200 GO laptops graphics card, so if you have a halfway decent card you shouldn't worry at all. But it seems that this game is a bit more harsh on your system than the original TMN is.

I played a little today, it's quite different! The maps I've played so far all have a different style than TMN's tracks, but I still like them! Very cool. But I'm not uninstalling TMN... I can't give up all my favorite old tracks
Actually, I wonder if you can load those maps into TMN Forever... Hmmm. Probably not, but worth looking into.

Great game...played it for about 2 hours now...I have it on 1440*900 with Medium Shadows, PC2 Shader Quality, High Texture Quality, 4xAA, 4xAF and geometry details on medium and get a constant 65fps.

Looks so much better than TMN and runs just as good.

Nope...I logged in with my normal details. However, I use the same username/password combo for TMU and TMN, so maybe that's why?

That's to be expected...the TMU engine is much more advanced and the environment look great. It's worth the performance hit. Need to try running it on my Intel G33 integrated graphics which this system is using!

I'd be surprised and highly annoyed if they had removed backwards compatibility for old TMN tracks...some of the classics are by makers who won't bother to redo them as they don't play anymore, and I'd hate not to see them around

Not quite as good... it doesn't run as well on my lower-end rig comp... (stupid laptop GPU)

It's unlike any other racing game! With the loops, wall rides, and crazy jumps! I love it!

Maybe it works for the same login on TMU, but TMN has a different login. I registered the same username and it didn't have any errors or tell me that the username was already in their database... but I haven't played TMU, only TMN.

It's not worth the performance hit for me on my low-end rig, it looks worse and runs slower because it's just so much more intense, and my rig can't really handle it

Yeah, I dunno, we'll see. I'll look into it later I guess.

I was on the beta for this in december (I was on Team USA for the Nations cup). I gotta say i like TMN better. This is just TMU, with stadium only, although it's pretty fun.

Does it have Starforce? I've always wanted to try out a Trackmania game but I've lost a DVD drive to Starforce and won't install a game that has it out of principle.

Steam is full of it too:
This game is also avaible for download on steam.

I heard many claims that it does not have Starforce included.

A must try game.
