You might be able to up your FSB to get your ram to run close to 1066Mhz, or you can just stick to 800, and tighten the timings...

thinking of those

will tight timings help superpi? and is there a big leap in performance from 2gb to 4gb? also is there a big performance jump between 1t and 2t?

Yeah it will be fine. Basically it won't have the higher multiplier for the RAM, so at the stock FSB the RAM can only run at ddr2 800, as that will be the highest option. Overclocking will get them to 1066 without problems.

Look for Micron D9GMH based RAMs

With an AMD CPU, I'd stay at DDR2 800 and try to achieve T1 (difficult) and tight timings. You'll generally benefit from that (while an Intel system loves bandwidth raw).

I highly doubt you'll get 1T with 4GB of memory. If you're looking for 1T on a 2x1GB set, I'd get these: 2x1GB Team DDR2 667 3-3-3-8-1T

Guaranteed Micron D9GMH, and will definitely do 1T at 667. They have as good a chance as any at keeping the 1T up to DDR2 800, but no guarantees. With an 8-layer PCB, you can probably give them up to 2.35v without too much worrying. At that voltage you have a very good chance of 1T at DDR2 800.
