WMP 11 Not Starting? Why?

So I have never had a problem with Windows Media Player before until just yesterday. (So no problems for 2 years +)

What Happens?

When I click on windows media player the little busy mouse icon shows for a split second and nothing ever loads... not even in task manager.

How I Temporarily Fix It

So I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling and it still does not work. What actually happens is the first time I start it right after the installation it will work with no problems (everything is great)... then the minute I close WMP (because I am done listening to music) it will not start again. The only way to then get around this is to install it again. I can even just install it without uninstalling the old one and it still will work one time and then not the next.

Also...
I just reinstalled Windows a month ago and it still has hardly anything on it. All drivers are up to date for the video, sound, mobo etc and so is Windows itself.

Why?
Any ideas on what is going on?

All I can recommend is getting a program like Tuneup Utilities(Free trial works fine) or Norton Win DR and running a system scan and have it fix all the errors with your PC.
Hope this helps at least a little.

I would rather stay with WMP11 just because of personal preference. I still have no idea how to fix it. I ran through steps that even included typing regsvr32 vbscript.dll and regsvr32 jscript.dll into command prompt but I had no success.
