It's not a problem. It's a limitation of avaliable values in a 32-bit OS.

There is a problem with the Storport controller. KB929777 addresses this issue. Besides, it looks like you only have 2GB?
Once again...

Yeah, I've heard that...

I also heard that 64 didn't have that problem.

I only had a lot of problems with my PC using vista before the updates were released...
But now it's all ok, running stable. The only problem I have is, that for some unknown reason, vista eats about 1.3GB of ram!!! and when i'm running google earth, it seems to be that my pc uses about 60% 75% of the RAM... is this normal?

Vista has a major issue with using ram.

512MB is the minimum to install Vista.

I'm running 2G on my computer and it still runs with like 40% doing nothing.

My friend is running 4G Quad Core on his and he said it's just now running smoothly..

Vista + RAM = hate o.O

I have never had that problem. I've read about it a lot but I have never had it happen to me, nor has a friend of mine who has done many installs of Vista.

This is the exact reason hate on Vista. This OS runs BEAUTIFULLY on a good computer that has the right specs. Both MS and builders like Dell and HP do not properly educate people on the right requirements for such an intensive OS. I have a Q6600 with 4Gb of RAM and Vista FLIES. People just need to know that it WILL require a larger amount of system resources and should be prepared. Otherwise they should stick to XP.

though im sure its only ram related ...my 2180 is blisteringly fast with vista
i have 4gb gskill 800mhz & i pulled out 2 sticks to see if i could get a higher OC and it was completely bogged with 2gb everything took forever

as for the ram issue i had no probs installing straight onto 5gb....

Does 8 gigs actually help? Ive been thinking about going to 8.(just because it is so cheap)

Edit: Oh yeah, I had to install with 2gb, update, and add the other ram later.
