Dude for the size monitor your running, you will be fine with an 8800GT or 8800GTS G92 (I would recommend). There is absolutely no point of getting a 9800GX2 unless you like spending money for no reason.

I'm selling an 8800GT for 180.00 shipped with ThermalTake DuOrbs if your intersted..

http://www.overclock.net/sale/318044...0-shipped.html

I also have it up for sale on ebay lol

quote "This card is in excellent condition, there's nothing wrong with it, and it plays Crysis extremely well. I mainly play at 1280x1024 and I average around 25-35 FPS using FRAPs with settings at HIGH for everything using no AA using DX9.

In other games, for example in Counter Strike: Source, using the Source Video Card Test, I average 431 FPS at 1280x1024. In game, I average around 250-300 FPS, as most servers manually set fps_max 300.

In Benchmarking, using 3DMark06 with my Q6600 at 3.6GHz and the Palit 8800GT, I have gotten 14655 3DMarks"

Good luck with your choice nonetheless

No point of going for the 8800GTX, you can get an 8800GTS 512MB cheaper and if you overclock the card it will be faster than a regular 8800GTX.

Go with the GTS! FTW!

EDIT: Or go with Shawns 8800GT.
