Um, the PC, Xbox, PS3 all have plenty of children's games too. There are plenty of "adult" titles for Wii.

I'm a hardcore gamer and I love my Wii.

It allows me to play fun games with my friends and family (who equally love it) without being labeled a nerd by wasting hours playing TF2 alone, in a dark room.

I think some people forget what "fun" is these days.
