I was playing a mission in an old Mechwarrior game from the 90's. I was supposed to enter a valley, destroy all enemies and take out a munitions depot. It ends up the depot had a tactical nuke and the bad guys set it to self-destruct in a few minutes.

So, here I am, only a half mile from the depot and little time to get away from the blast radius. I ran as fast as my heavy iron feet would go. I remember my heart pounding as I cleared the corner of the valley. This white flash blinds me and my mech is toppled over. I made it. It was the first time a game tried to nuke me.

The original Deus Ex. The storyline was epic, as was the gameplay. Then on top of that the Game of the Year Edition had the patch for multiplayer. That game alone got me hooked on playing online.

Some other games that made me go "Woah!"

Bioshock. The first time I saw a Big Daddy I shat myself.

GTA2 was my very first PC game, and being a good christian boy at the time, being able to play as such a corrupt individual was ecstasy. Now I feel the need to run over some of those crazy Loonies.

The Need for Speed series (not counting Underground and anything after that with the exception of Carbon and Most Wanted) has left me breathless.

Portal. 'nuff said.

Assassin's Creed has some great "Woah!" moments too.

That was a great game (duesx) played it on the PS2 for many many hours.

When I get back to my apartment in a week I'm pretty sure Deus Ex will be one of the first games to install on my new build just because of how much I love it.
