Tagan TG900-BZ

Thread Starter
I've just hooked up my new power supply, a Tagan TG900-BZ Piperock and boy does it look cool. I initially had a Tagan TG900-U95 which I was very pleased with and which performed extremely well but I was getting hacked off with trying to keep all of the cables tidy.

The new Piperock PSU sports blue fan LED's and the molex connectors light up with a coloured halo's, awsome.

Congratulations on a PSU that you're happy with. There's hardly a way to describe such a feeling!

By the way, is there something not listed in your sig rig that requires a 900w psu?

Probably, I think I've just over-engineered and future-proofed things a bit. My initial plan was tripple SLI, I started out with a Striker Formula II but had so many problems with it that I sent it back to the supplier. At a later date I may try a couple of ATI cards in crossfire, get rid of the Creative card and use the sound card included with the Formula. You're right though a 900W PSU is probably overkill.

Ya, it's extreme overkill, but wow does it ever look nice. I saw the pics, and that blue chrome just owns me.

Nothing wrong with overkill if you can afford it

Hey, I bought the same PSU, you know the ground wire, does it have to be connected or not?

As JonnyGURU says it doesn't have to be connected but it's best if it is as Tagan claim that it reduced RF noise.

So where do you attach the ground wire to? The case? The motherboard? I am building a new rig and looking at the ABS Tagan BZ Series BZ700 PSU. I have already bought an Antec 900 case, an E3110 proc and the DFI Lanparty DK P35-T2RS motherboard. Is there a place on the Antec case or the DFI board for the ground wire?
