They have stopped selling it. Haven't seen a shelf copy in over a year. It's SUPPORT that they extended and continued.

I think this just means they are not making any more CD's with XP. You can still buy them as lots of retailers still have copies in stock.

Good, we're closer to getting rid of XP. The closer we get to stopping XP the closer we are to more service packs and 7 previews. I wanna see if its so great.

Not at Walmart, CC, BBY, ANY of the local computer shops... I'm new to OCN but I'm no idiot. Microsoft had my store SEND BACK all our XP copies.

Complete bullcrap.

I still order OEM copies of Home AND Professional AND Corporate from Maxgroup Inc. and newegg for my business.

I guess I'm part of the only computer store that still sells XP ?

Best Buy XP

Newegg XP

Yeah thats probably the most likely case, I know the Micro Center here still sells Windows XP Pro (Retail and OEM). Also, I think that any PC manufacturers, and OEMs that still offer XP packaged with their PCs will probably cease to do so after June 30.

I imagine that after June 30, XP will start becoming harder and harder to find in stores. As the article says, those who still want to use XP will want to hang onto their current XP discs.

Not right now, but after June 30 Microsoft will stop shipping more copies to those stores, and whatever copies they have on the shelves (or in-stock) after that date will be all they will get. So once a store sells out of XP, they will be unlikely to get any more in stock.
