I know that, hes saying no one sells them now and that Microsoft made them send back their copies of XP lol ???

Yeah, I doubt Microsoft will force stores to send back their remaining copies.

Yeah I am also calling BS on this one. Looks like I live in a freak of a town then because my BB, CC and WM's all still carry XP and none of them appear to have had to "send them back."

I am in no way calling you an Idiot..but I am calling you blind

Fry's here in Sunnyvale still sells XP as well as micro center down the street. We still sell it as well, including corporate licenses, OEM and stand alone or upgrades. We are stocking up on the OEM versions for a couple of customers and are even purchasing volume licenses for another custy. Once vista gets approval to be installed at their company (still considered a security hole at 2 sites), they will switch over, but they are re-writing their base SW to run on linux anyway. The are not waiting on M$ to respond to their request for information on why vista repeatedly tries to contact some offsite server (a security hole to this company). I personally am waiting for a better deal $$ wise before I give it a try.

Ahh... just what we needed.

Another Windows XP thread which in turn brings the forces of Windows Good and Evil in a power struggle to control the world of your operating system.

I guess I'm part of the only computer store that still sells XP ?

Best Buy XP

Newegg XP

Right. OEM. NOT A SHELF COPY. I didn't say you couldn't ORDER OEM'S anymore, I said no shelf copies. Big difference genius. We got paid back for all our copies, but they were recalled.

Tell ya what man. Come to my city and go to every retailer and buy every copy of XP you find. You might need about 0 dollars for that, because there just flat aren't any retail copies here to be had. The custom shops can order them still online, but you WILL NOT find a single one on the shelf or "in the back" that they can just ring up at a register. Again, I never said online did not have them, but in store, here where I live, not a one.

The bigger question is when does Vista get yanked from the shelves?

True, good question. All our originals got recalled afew weeks back, only to be replaced a day or two later with SP1 editions.
