And i definitely do not think my old E6750 is better than my Q6600.

It's called progression.... and it is good... even if it CONFUSES you.
At least someone agrees with me, lol Vista isn't ready imo until it has been fully optimized as well; done right, it takes longer to optimize any OS than it does to OC a rig.

I'm not uncomfortable "upgrading" to Vista, I prefer that there's a huge amount of support for XP due to it being around for so long. I ordered XP pro for my first build because I prefer to have an OS that MS is still providing support for until 7 comes out. It seems to me that even MS aren't fans of Vista. I just don't see Vista having near the lifespan that XP has enjoyed.

Edit: And contrary to a previous post, liking XP because it's "familiar" doesn't mean I drive a beat up 10 year old family sedan. I drive a 2006 5-door hatchback because it can fit all my snowboarding gear, computer junk, and still return 30 mpg.

BS.

Newegg has them in stock, and they said they will stop selling in June, not April.

By the way..... try not to steal anymore avatars. Edeeko probably wouldn't appreciate it.

EDIT: whatever, even if you got it in an email, change it. You're gonna get flamed up the rear until you do so.

Again, I never said online did not have them, but in store, here where I live, not a one.
I dunno about your city but i work for BBY in the computer department and on truck nights, I still pull copies of XP out of the totes and put them up for purchase till this day.

That is bull that MS had your store send back copies. If they did so would all major stores including BBY and CC would have to send it back. What store do you work at?

Anyone else feel that gust of hot air....

This is typical fanboy generalization fanning the flames...

Some folks buy a new car because they NEED a new car... others buy them because they WANT a new car. With XP and Vista it is the same. Vista isn't mandatory by default... although I'm sure M$ wishes it was (they'd certainly love the additional income folks who think like you generate for them).

Tis quite a shame that folks need to use such slander tactics to advance their point.

BTW... I drive a 2006 Chrysler 300C.. and I bought it because I wanted it. My 1996 T-Bird which it replaced was a perfectly fine car, yet I won't slam anyone who chooses to roll with a "paid for" vehicle versus always keeping the "latest and greatest" in the garage.

Just face it... not everyone needs or wants Vista. So many of you hardcore Vista supporters really just need to back off on disparaging the folks who just don't agree with your choice of O/S.
