Hello Boys and girls....

Welcome, I'm bored and the house is clean and im off of work until monday. Well heres the story. I've been looking for a new case lately as a trade because I'm sick of looking at the same old case. Well its time to spice it up a bit.. I'm going to paint the inside of it GR33N and I will get to the outside eventualy. My thoughs on this subject "What is the point of a custom PC without a custom Paintjob"? Well look no further. It is nice outside and it is now time to paint it. I have just made a trip to the local store to pick up some prime and some paint. My motherboard is still in RMA so im out of luck on having a rig for a week anyway so it gives me time to get it painted. I hope to God it turns out right.

Moving on. Im working with a raidmax Smilidon with removable motherboard rack and front. Heres an example of a pic.

STARTING POINT

The concept of an empty case

BOOYA Suicide Doors

Doors removed

Time to clean her out and lay some prime on her!

OK all things are taken out of the case and its been cleaned with soap and water and scrubbed down. (TIP) If you have stickers on the inside of the case that are stuck or they tear when you try to remove them you can put some lighter fluid (zippo Fluid) to clean it off. I chose lighter fluid because gas is $3.50 a Galon. Lighter fluid or any flamable cleaner will cause primer not to stick and giving you a crappy paint job if you dont clean the area with hot soapy water.

Here we go so far it is going on 7PM here. I intend to get a lot done tonight while i have daylight.
Heres the case empty and cleaned going into the shed for prime!

Before clean

After clean and ready to go!

Had to shake the can reall GOOD... Heheheh

Prime is done. I just have to do some touch up and get the underside!
Shes looking smooth. And the prime will take away the average wear and tear on a case. Also my primer is rust proof so you know.. Not like I'd be taking it outside LOL..
Never EVER paint a surfice that has not been primed. The paint will not stick and it will chip in the future. Prime may seem time consuming but it is the most important part!

ON WITH THE SHOW! Comment by all means!
Im thinking of making the case 2-toned. Green On the inside and part of the outside and leaving the doors stock!

So black and green it is. I dont know how the green is going to look yet!

Yada yada yada... Paint is dryed. Id second coat it but its night night time i have to be somewhere tomarrow and I dont have a garage. And possibley ruining my house is out over this case. Its sitting in the frontroom in the light so i can see what i missed if anything.. Every time I walk by it it taunts me saying.. FINISH ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ohh the agony. This is my first case and I'm so excited. If this goes well I may just do every case I ever buy and custom paint it. I think Im going to wait on the clear coat because My girlfriend is one of the best artistic person I know. So I will let her do some Anime type stuff on the side and I will clear coat over it.. If only we were good and had airbrushes!
