Mattass, what kind of "bad fps" problem are you having? How low does it go? For comparison reasons what are you benching in 3DMark06? Have you thought about just replacing the motherboard and saving some money?

Good luck

msi neo 2FR has one slot at 4X and that could slow down crossfire significantly,at 17'' you should not be needing CF anyway.

Well i dont now whats doing it but its weird my fps is constent at 125, then as normal it varies for the different textures then somtimes i find my game just freezing for a couple of seconds and its so anoying cause usely its in the middle of killing someone, and i think its down to my mobo, i think iv decided not to get the intel chipset in the end as its to expensive and really i just need the motherboard, also my benchmark is crap, im getting 7000, when i hear people with the same rig just a diffferent mobo are reaching like 10,000. i think im going for theMSI K9A2 Platinum AMD 790FX once i get paid but if theres a better option please tell me thanks for the reply

Not to highjack your thread.. but I was going to post and ask the same question.

I have a 5000+ BE AMD chip and Corsair Dominator RAM. I would rather use nVidia cards incase I ever want to put Linux back on my system. Is there a good MSI or Asus board out there for me that ya'll would recommend?

(SLI would be nice, but if theres a single slotter out there I can stick a Phenom in later I'd take a stab at it if it'd be stable for now)

I had a hoseclamp let loose on my last DFI board :swearing: - took the board and video card.

Mattass, that's very strange. Well we'll find out if there is any improvement when you get your new board. That is an odd score for a 3870. Have checked CPU-Z to see what the PCI-E x16 slot is running at in regards to bandwidth?

Good luck
