what is the purpose? I believe it is installed on a lot of school computers. It would be against TOS to ask for help with that.

My friend brought the comp off ebay and it came with deep freeze on it, so now he wants me to take if off for him. This has nothing to do with school comp.

dont know what it is but . . . reformat? . . . if he bought it off ebay that he doesnt care what data is lost.

EDIT>> did some research . . reformatting will work . .unless your trying to pull a fast one on us and are just trying to bypass it. . in that case I would try google as its against our TOS

If the password wasn't set on it upon install of it(ive never seen one at a school that was actually set) the password will be "admin" or "administrator".

Enter the password and turn it off then uninstall it if thats the pass.

Yeah you can, pull out the hd plug it into your desktop. If its ide you will need a converter if it sata it would plug right in. Then you could try loading windows from a different computer and then install the hard drive and update drivers.*would prolly be buggy* or you could get an external Cd rom and format

IMO your best bet would be to either get an external CDROM or an IDE -> USB adapter and run your desktop CDROM. A clean install is really what is needed especially if its from ebay. plus it will make installing future programs much easier.
