New system - Power wattage recommendations pls?!

Hi guys,
So I'm putting the following system together and am wondering if a 650W PSU will suffice. - Fry's has a good deal on the Cooler Master eXtreme 650W RP-650-PCAR right now ($49 after rebate).

MB: eVGA 680i NF68-A1
CPU : E6750@2.66 - oc to 3.4-3.5
CPU cooler - Tuniq Tower 120
Mem: OCZ 800FSB 2x2GB
Vid: 2x 8600 GTS 512 in SLI (will probably oc from its factory spec)
HD : 2xSeagate SATA drives in RAID 0

I know the 650 PCAR isn't modular, but recommendations for a modular PSU that doesn't break the bank are welcome.

Take a look at this link it will give a pretty accurate estimate.

Hope that helps

But yea that should work since the video cards don't need extra power (pretty sure)

The eXtreme Powers aren't very good. A quality 500-600 watt psu would be more then enough for your system. Do you have a preferred vendor? I can try to find a deal for you.

If you havent bought the parts I would suggest a 8800gt over the sli 8600's. Also you will want about a 600 watt. Silverstone, pc power and cooling, corsair, fsp are all good brands.

While we're at it, I also have another system, Asus P5K Deluxe/Wifi with an oc'd e6750, and a RAID 5 setup with 5x500GB drives. I have that on a 550W PSU and it seems to run fine. Do I need to bump that up a bit, to maybe a 750?

I've had the 8600 GTS's for a little while. I am thinking about 'trading' them in for a single 8800 GT 512, but don't really have very high graphic requirements to push me that way. The occassional FPS game experience, and on and off car and airplane simulator...

I haven't checked the deals lately, you used to be able to get the Corsairs pretty cheap but the deals are over for the moment so I'll have a look around. And the other system is fine with a 550w.

Well I had a quick look but nothing really jumped out at me. Did you have a budget in mind? You can get this Antec for $50 AR if you were on a budget. The next step up in quality will be the $80-100 range. Things like a Corsair vx550 or the hx520 if you wanted modular. If you use google checkout you can get $10 off. That's probably the best deal ATM. Maybe someone else can have a look, I'm going to bed .
