Need help OC'ing a new board with new ram.

Thread Starter
Looking to get 3.2ghz on my 780i board, My memory is G-skill ddr2 1000. Voltages I have been using so far are as follows.

CPU: 1.365v
FSB: 1.4v
NB: 1.4v
SB: 1.5v
HT: 1.25v
Ram: 2.050v (Recommended by G-skill on this board)
CPU Multiplier: 8x

My Ram timings I think are whats holding me up, atm I have tried Linked & Sync with 1600 QDRCPU and 800QDRMemory at 5-5-5-15-2T. I have also tried Unlinked 1600 QDRCPU and 800QDRMemory at 4-4-4-12-2T & 4-4-4-8-1t

Im pretty sure my timings are a little out of wack if anyone could help me in this area and get me a nice stable 3.2ghz I would luv you for long time!

i say just loosen those timings to 5,5,5,15 then up your fsb untill 3.2 then stress test. After tighten your timings untill they get stable at whatever voltage you more happy with. I think ur gonna need to up ur vcore tho, those quads are power hungry

actually sorry yor proc at 3.2 is at 400fsb which is a 1:1 ratio with ddr2 800 ram speed so u don't even need to touch ur ram

So just leave it at 1:1 Ratio with ram at 800 and slowly lower the fsb tell im stable at 3.2ghz? should i adjust the multiplier from 8x to 9x? Also on the vcore what do you think 1.4v?

1.4 yes but i think ur board will go higher but if ur ram is ddr2 1000 you dont have to worry about it if your on a 1:1 you can oc to 400 fsb + so just go a head and up ur fsb untill ur proc maxes out
