It would probably cause too much trouble and effort. Personally I really like the look of most Apple products, clean & simple.
You are right I was wrong. 2gb of Ram and a fully functional dual xeon board(ed) system will run around 14-1500 if you know what you are doing not $2800.

Buy a MAC, youll be the envy of all your friends*sarcasm in the worst way*

Companies that stoop to mac's level only get business from narrow minded fools. Only Sony is worse than them at stooping to levels once thought untouchable by any company with a backbone.
Blatant lies and deceiving are qualities that keep me from buying from a specific company.

So its not at all overpriced for the person who purchases it, since it is not priced to high for them. So stop pushing your opinions like facts.
Man, you just posted the dictionary definition of overpriced then you go and do this.

It doesn't matter if people think its a good price. People are idiots. The value of the hardware contained in a mac does not even come close to how much you're paying for it. That right there is the definition of overpriced; paying more for something than it's worth.

Not to mention you have to call MAC any time you even have the slightest problem or question. Cmon, its either that or you go to best buy and let nerd squad work on it...think about it, youve already bought the MAC, are you really going to stoop THAT low??...................EH, you probably will

I read the original article in pm, and the "benchmarks" they use are all software dependent, not hardware. Of course OSX is gonna boot faster than Vista the monolith...

Did you not read my whole post. Did you ignore the fact that it comes with good software. Did you ignore the fact that its barely that much more than a good OEM brand.

Don't single out a part of my post and ignore everything else that goes with it.

You can fix it yourself or bring it to the Apple store. My brothers HDD died and now he is getting a free harddrive (thats larger).

I really don't know whether to laugh, dislike or ignore this post. You obviously don't know about anything involved.

I'm not even going to waste my time. Don't like MACs? Go cry in the corner with the other fan boys.

Marin, don't argue with these idiots. It's a waste.

What part of THEY ARE PRICED COMPETITIVELY AGAINST THE REST OF THE INDUSTRY do you not understand? I've proved to you that the Gateway One and the iMac, two competitors, are priced extremely similarly. I've yet to see a factual rebuttal from you aside from "meh meh meh, overpriced pooh pooh". And BTW, if paying more than it's worth is your definition of overpriced, then everything you can buy is also overpriced, or the seller would not make a profit, arbitrage opportunity would occur, and no one would sell anything anymore.

Edit: See post if you were too blind to see the screenshots I uploaded the first time, PROVING that Macs are priced competitively.

Apple, Apple, Apple. MAC is not the same of a company that you can call for support. Macs are running the same hardware as PCs now, why can't you just fix it yourself again? Please don't apply your prejudices from the previous century on Intel Macs.

Plus what you gonna do on a mac, but use their stupid hoggy software no apps,, no games,,, lol ,,,,, and also its music production software SUX big time Logic 7 ,, joke interface,, no right click ,, very dumb german interface, Now go look @ cakewalk interface and how friendly it is. MAC is not friendly @ all!!! Just my thought and the thoughts of 1500 tech testers.

XP pownz,,,us all!!!! the last great OS, Now in 2010 the new Windows 7 comes out, then what everyone with vista jumps to that,,, I dont think so,, more problems, we dont need. Theres a reaason why its coming out in 2010 , cuz they know they screwed up Vista , to be like the WindowsME of the new century LOL , if I want juicy desktop interface,, Ill go launch a game like UT3 or Gears or FEAR combat ,,, thats juicy enough. Its about simplicity and they broke that... Also copying files would take 5 second delay for menu to pop up,, but with SP1 now it takes 3 seconds.. LOL ,, joke ,,,, whoever is smart uses XP windows 2003 tech ,,, thx
Seems you just posted because this seems like a great thread to bash Macs on, as nothing you posted was about the article.
Therefore, no cares, and you lose creditability on everything you post in the future. And it's clear you know nothing about OS X.

You know, people say that Mac's don't get viruses because they are Unix(<<have no idea what that means), so there is no way for the virus to spread. However, if I was an uber 1337 hack3r, after installing the virus, I would just make a pop up box that asks people if the want to email their friends with whatever they just downloaded. As irrelevant as this is, can we agree that Macs CAN get viruses?
